The Great Glass Pumpkin Patch
September 30 – October 1, 2023

Palo Alto’s beloved Great Glass Pumpkin Patch draws thousands of visitors from all over the world to explore more than 10,000 one-of-a-kind glass artworks created by local artists. As a KQED member, you and one guest are invited to an early hour of shopping on Saturday, September 30th, 9-10 AM, before the event opens to the general public. To gain admittance KQED members must show their KQED membership card and a corresponding photo ID. More information is available at greatglasspumpkinpatch.org.

Museum of Craft and Design
October 7, 2023 – February 4, 2024

Designing Peace makes its West Coast debut on October 7 at the Museum of Craft and Design. This not-to-miss exhibition explores how design can help create social, environmental, and economic peace. Organized by Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, Designing Peace features design projects from around the world (representing 20 countries) that look at ways to create and sustain more durable peaceful interactions—from creative confrontations that challenge existing structures to designs that demand embracing justice and truth in a search for reconciliation. For the month of October, free Sunday admission to KQED members presenting their KQED Member Card.

Passport

KQED Passport

KQED Passport is a member benefit that gives eligible donors and supporters extended access to an on-demand library of quality public television programming online. The KQED Passport library currently offers members more than 1,000 episodes to watch, with new PBS and KQED programs being added weekly.

The library features episodes from popular programs like American Experience, American Masters, Antiques Roadshow, Nature, NOVA, and Masterpiece. In addition to these signature series, the library is full of public television’s acclaimed arts, science, history, and lifestyle programs.

Look for the blue compass icon next to programs that are Passport-eligible.
